I am currently teaching at a NYC public school in Woodside, New York. I am a 6th grade special education math and science teacher. As a special education teacher I have the opportunity to get to know my students as individuals. I learn their learning styles, interests and readiness levels and differentiate my instruction to best suit my students. I am an organized and passionate teacher who will do whatever it takes to help my students succeed in school and enjoy learning as much as I do....

I am qualified to teach students with Autism due to my training in Applied Behavior Analysis. While I was in graduate school I worked at a school called Developmental Disabilities Institute where I was training in ABA and that was the primary means of teaching my students academics as well as daily living skills. I now teach for the DOE where I use a lot of my ABA training for my current students such as writing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
